A Swing Beam (QC12Y) pivots the upper blade in an arc, which is simple and reliable for thinner plates (e.g., 4-16mm). A Guillotine (QC11K) moves the blade vertically, which provides more power, a variable rake angle, and is superior for cutting thick, heavy plate (10mm-40mm+) with minimal distortion.
Your machines are 800-1000kg heavier. Why does this matter for a shear?
Shearing creates immense shock and force. A heavier, annealed frame is critical for absorbing this shock and resisting vibration. This ensures the blade gap remains perfectly parallel, giving you a clean, square cut and much longer blade life.
What is "blade gap" and is it adjustable?
Blade gap is the critical distance between the upper and lower blades. It must be adjusted for different material thicknesses (e.g., a smaller gap for thin steel, a larger gap for thick plate). Our shears feature fast, easy-to-use blade gap adjustment, which can also be automated with CNC.
What kind of blades do you use?
